Tea at the Sanderson - Mad Hatters Tea Party
Coco Schmoo plus one!??!
I probably should have broken that more gently but seeing as there is little hidding the ginormous bump currently resting on my desk I thought I best get it out in the open ;)
So where have I been, well being the dutiful wife of course but actually - well mainly knuckling down with the first year of marriage. Which I have to tell you is a breeze if you learn from some of my mistakes :
1. Pick your battles : I don't believe people who never argue - what are they not saying? but I do believe you can over argue. Sometimes you have to not fret the small stuff and stand your ground on the things that really matter.
2. Being a wife has nothing to do with dolies. I remember going to a friends house who appeared to be the perfect wife - so perfect they should have run a finishing school what with all the bows, frills and lovely wifeyness that oozed from her every pore. Being a wife is about being the same person they proposed to, that funny, slightly crazy lady they fell in love with. (Pinny not necessary)
3. You may not love each others friends. This is a tough one, there may be people in your life that drive hubby mad and vice versa but you didn't marry their friends so smile be polite and you never know they may grow on you or not and in that case those nights in by yourself are an excellent opportunity to catch up on all that Sky+
4. Mother in Laws. Mother in laws have the best intentions and the truth is they just want their son/daughter to be happy.Sometimes they will drive you mad but as I have found - they just want to have a niche in your life and to share their family recipes!
So there is my conclusion... now onto the next chapter Mummy in Training!
